Since the beginning of 2025, Zwapgrid has been processing live transactions across its Open Accounting network.

Over the past year we have focused heavily on ensuring that our first group of customers successfully launched and built services on top of the platform. As the network has grown and the volume of accounting data flowing through the infrastructure has increased significantly, we have reached an important milestone.With a stable platform and growing network activity, we are now shifting focus.

‍AI across the Zwapgrid platform

‍Over the past several months we have been working intensively on integrating AI across the Zwapgrid platform. While much of this work has been happening behind the scenes, we are now beginning to communicate this next step more openly.AI now assists with several critical parts of expanding the accounting network:

• Mapping accounting data structures across systems

• Validating integrations automatically

• Detecting inconsistencies and edge cases

• Accelerating onboarding of new accounting platforms

Where onboarding a new system traditionally required significant manual work, AI now helps automate large parts of the process. This allows us to expand the Open Accounting network across Europe significantly faster while maintaining reliability.

‍From idea to production faster

‍Alongside these capabilities we are introducing working product prototypes built directly on top of the Zwapgrid platform.These prototypes demonstrate how harmonised accounting data can power real financial services applications, including:

• Real time SME financial insight

• Automated credit and risk assessment

• Automated bookkeeping of card transactions

• Receivables and invoice financeThe prototypes include working code examples and integration patterns, helping partners move faster from idea to production.

‍Expanding the European accounting network

‍With AI accelerating system onboarding, Zwapgrid will continue expanding the network with new accounting platforms across Europe in the coming months.For banks, fintechs and SaaS platforms this means access to harmonised accounting data across more markets through a single integration.
